Boarding kennels, grooming salons, training academies, and emergency veterinary clinics frequently ask for proof of Anti-Rabies, DHPPi, and Kennel Cough (Bordetella) vaccinations before admitting your pet. Instead of forwarding full PDF files that contain your home address and phone number, Record Access in PetEYE MyPet lets you generate granular, revocable health passes in seconds.
When to Use Record Access vs. Pet Family
- Use Pet Family for people who actively care for your pet inside the PetEYE app (spouses, family members, regular walkers).
- Use Record Access for external third parties (boarding kennels on thekennel.peteye.pet, grooming spas, airlines, or visiting vets) who do not have a PetEYE account and only need to verify specific documents in their browser.
Step 1: Open Settings -> Record Access
- Log in to peteye.pet/mypet and open your pet’s profile.
- Tap Settings and select Record Access.
- Tap the + Grant Access button to open the access configuration modal.
Step 2: Select Specific Modules & Expiry Window
- Enter the Recipient Name (for example, "Paws & Collar Boarding Kennel") and their 10-digit mobile number for your audit log.
- Toggle only the data modules the recipient needs to see (such as Vaccinations, Deworming, Medical Records, or Identification Marks) while keeping ownership and billing documents private.
- Select an expiration window so the link automatically deactivates after the boarding stay or grooming appointment ends.
- Tap Create Shared Link.
Step 3: Share via WhatsApp or Let the Receptionist Scan Your QR Code
Once created, each active pass in your Record Access dashboard provides three instant actions:
- Share on WhatsApp: Sends a formatted message with the secure verification URL directly to the kennel or clinic.
- In-Person QR Pass: Displays a scannable QR code on your phone screen so a veterinarian or facility manager can open the verified records in 1 tap without typing a URL.
- Copy Link: Copies the tokenized URL to your clipboard for email or booking forms.
Step 4: Editing Permissions or Triggering Emergency Revoke All
You stay in complete control of your shared data at all times:
- Edit an Active Pass: Tap the pencil icon on any shared entry to add or remove specific record modules without breaking the link you already sent.
- Revoke a Single Link: Tap the red trash icon and confirm Revoke to terminate that recipient’s access immediately.
- Emergency Revoke All: If you ever want a clean slate, tap Emergency Revoke All to invalidate every active public share token across your pet’s profile in one click.
