Whether you are adopting a puppy from an ethical breeder on thekennel.peteye.pet, fostering an Indie rescue until they find a forever home, or legally rehoming a companion animal, handing over paper files often leads to lost vaccination histories. PetEYE MyPet solves this with a Phone-Locked Ownership Transfer and an interactive 3-Generation Biological Family Tree.
Part 1: How Current Owners or Breeders Initiate an Ownership Transfer
- Log in to peteye.pet/mypet and open the profile of the pet being transferred.
- Navigate to Settings -> Transfer Ownership.
- Enter the 10-digit mobile number of the new pet parent. This phone-locks the transfer token so that nobody else can intercept the link and claim the pet.
- Tap Generate Transfer Link.
- Click Share via WhatsApp or Copy Link to send the claim invitation to the new owner.
Part 2: How the New Pet Parent Claims the Pet
- The adopting pet parent signs in (or creates a free account) at peteye.pet/mypet using the exact 10-digit mobile number specified by the sender.
- They open the shared Claim Pet link (or scan the pet’s connected QR collar tag in person).
- They review the pet’s summary card and tap Claim Ownership.
- Full primary custody, historical vaccination records, biometric nose prints, and connected smart tags migrate seamlessly to the new owner’s dashboard, while the transfer timestamp is permanently recorded in the pet’s Ownership History ledger.
Part 3: How to Build & View the 3-Generation Family Tree
Tracking biological lineage helps veterinarians anticipate hereditary conditions and prevents accidental inbreeding:
- Open Settings -> Family Tree inside your pet’s profile on peteye.pet/mypet.
- If your puppy was registered through The Kennel litter ingestion system, their Sire (father), Dam (mother), and littermates are linked automatically.
- To link a parent manually, tap Link Parent on the Sire or Dam node, enter the parent pet’s PetEYE ID or profile details, and save to render your pet’s multi-generation pedigree chart.
