From the day your puppy or kitten gets their first Anti-Rabies shot to their adult weight milestones, train travel dossiers, and Smart Collar Tag scans, hundreds of moments shape their life.
In almost every household, those moments are fragmented across separate silos: weights are scribbled on vet bills, adoption dates live in old photo albums, shop orders sit in email receipts, and tag scans disappear after push notifications are cleared. Inside PetEYE, we created the Pet Life Timeline (accessible under Pet Identity → Pet Life Timeline) to weave every clinical, safety, growth, and family event into a single, unbroken longitudinal biography.
How the Pet Life Timeline Builds Itself Automatically
The best part of the Pet Life Timeline is that you never have to maintain it manually as a separate diary. Every time you, your Co-Parent, your visiting Caretaker, your veterinarian, or the PetEYE Shop logs an action anywhere in the app, the timeline engine automatically indexes, timestamps, and formats the event into a vertical chronological feed.
At the top of the tab, you will see your pet’s total Events counter badge alongside a Sync Timeline button that refreshes live activity across all connected modules.
Exploring the 6 Filterable Timeline Streams
As your pet grows from a 2-month-old puppy or kitten into a 10-year-old senior companion, their ledger will accumulate dozens or hundreds of entries. To make both nostalgic browsing and clinical review effortless, the stationary header bar features All Events plus 6 specialized filter chips, each displaying its live event count:
| Timeline Filter Chip | Internal Stream ID | What Events Appear in This Stream | Why It Matters for Pet Parents & Vets |
|---|---|---|---|
| 1. Medical & Care | MEDICAL |
Core & optional vaccinations, deworming doses, flea/tick preventives, vet consultations, surgeries, diagnostic bloodwork/X-rays, and auto-logged diet or pharmacy orders | Gives any consulting veterinarian a complete chronological clinical history with one-tap Doc links to attached lab PDFs and invoices |
| 2. Milestones & ID | MILESTONES |
Initial platform registration, birth/adoption milestones, Vet OTP Verification upgrades (Green Badge), municipal license verifications (Blue Badge), and biometric enrollments | Preserves official identity provenance and celebrates life-stage milestones from first home arrival onward |
| 3. Growth | GROWTH |

Lets you correlate weight shifts with diet changes or spot subtle senior weight loss months before clinical symptoms appear |
| 4. Safety & Scans | SAFETY |
Smart QR & NFC Collar Tag scan events, Lost Mode activations, finder GPS location pings, and verified reunion events badged with Reunited Safely | Provides a permanent security audit trail of every time and place your pet's collar tag was scanned |
| 5. Family & Origin | FAMILY |
Acquisition & origin records, ownership transfers via Claim Links (/claim), Co-Parent and Caretaker additions, and Community playmate circle connections |
Documents the human village and biological lineage surrounding your pet across their lifetime |
| 6. Tags & Docs | TAGS & DOCS |
Physical Smart Tag bindings, Kill-Switch tag voiding events, ISO microchip linkages, municipal license renewals, and generated travel dossiers | Tracks every physical credential, compliance document, and hardware tag ever linked to your pet's 15-digit ID |
Anatomy of a PetEYE Timeline Event Card
Every node along the vertical timeline is designed for zero-clutter readability on both mobile and desktop screens:
- Color-Coded Node Dot & Category Pill: Visual color coding distinguishes Preventive Care, Diagnostics, Growth logs, Safety alerts, and Ownership events at a glance.
- High-Visibility Status Badges: Records marked as emergency-critical in your medical vault display a red Emergency Vital badge, while resolved lost-pet incidents display an emerald Reunited Safely pill.
- Quantitative Value Pills & Direct Document Links: If an event includes a numeric result (like
24.5 kgorPlatelets: 210,000), it appears in a crisp monospace-style pill next to the title. If a PDF lab report, X-ray image, or store invoice is attached, a blue Doc ↗ button opens the original file in one tap.
- Open Pet Identity: Tap your pet’s Pet Identity card from the profile overview or settings menu.
- Select Pet Life Timeline: Switch to the Pet Life Timeline tab and tap any of the 6 stream filter chips.
- Tap Sync Timeline or Doc: Use Sync Timeline to refresh recent events or click Doc on any card to open the attached certificate or lab report.
Clinical & Product Pro-Tip
Clinical Insight — Correlating Streams Over Time: Because the
All Eventsview interleaves Growth weigh-ins with Medical & Care diet changes and preventive doses, you can immediately see cause and effect—such as how transitioning to a weight-management kibble in March steadily brought a Labrador from 34 kg down to an ideal 29.5 kg by August.
An Unbroken Ledger Across Adoption & the Rainbow Bridge Archive
A pet’s life story should never be erased when circumstances change. If a rescue organization, foster parent, or ethical breeder transfers a puppy or adult dog to a forever family using Pet Identity → Transfer Ownership (/claim), the entire Pet Life Timeline travels seamlessly with the pet’s 15-digit ID so the new family inherits every prior vaccination, weight log, and origin milestone.
And at the very bottom of the Pet Life Timeline sits PetEYE’s mindful Rainbow Bridge 🕊️ section (Memorialize Pet). When a beloved senior companion eventually passes away after years by your side, you never have to delete their profile to stop routine vaccine reminders—memorializing their profile preserves their complete timeline, photos, and family tree as a permanent, honoured archive in your PetEYE ecosystem forever.
